The Columbiana County Auditor has announced that the office is closed to the public until further notice.

A news release from the auditor says that the closure is effective as of Monday, November 30 due to the impact of COVID-19.

Some documents and applications can be submitted by mail or email, according to the release.

Dog Licenses:

Apply by mail. There is a return address envelope included with the application sent out.

Drop off dog license applications in the main hallway of the courthouse.

Two outside agencies will be selling dog tags starting on December 1, 2020. These locations are Drug Mart, 7626 St.Rt. 45, Lisbon, Ohio and Hanoverton Hardware, 9939 St. Rt. 9, Hanoverton, Ohio. They will be accepting cash or check only.

Deeds and transfers:

 There will be an 'inbox' and 'outbox' located beside the Auditor's door, which is also adjacent to the security station inside the courthouse. The inbox will be checked continuously by the auditor’s staff. All documents must be in a sealed envelope, with any payment being made by check only, and placed into the 'Inbox'. When deeds are finished being processed, they will be put in the 'Outbox', or in the attorney's slot. You are advised to call and let a member of the auditor’s staff know when you are placing a deed in the "Inbox".
