Power outages remain for hundreds in Valley

People in hundreds of homes and businesses in the Valley spent Tuesday morning and afternoon without electricity.
A FirstEnergy spokesperson blamed heavy snowfall for bringing trees and branches onto power lines.
According to the FirstEnergy website, as of 11:30 am, 557 customers still had no electricity in Trumbull, Mahoning, Columbiana, and Mercer counties.
In Mahoning County where 301 outages were reported, most of the damage was in Goshen Township and Canfield.
The city of Warren and Kinsman Township accounted for most of the 165 outages in Trumbull County.
Sixty outages remained in Mercer County and 31 in Columbiana County.
While FirstEnergy estimates that power would be back on by 2 pm in Mahoning, Columbiana, and Mercer counties. No estimate for restoration was given for Trumbull County.
