YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Mahoning County Coroner's office is investigating a traffic death from Wednesday night's head-on crash along Interstate 680 in Youngstown.

The northbound and southbound lanes of I-680 were closed following the accident involving two cars in the northbound lanes just after 10 p.m. near the Glenwood Avenue exit. 

According to police, there were three victims, all of them female.

The name of the person who died, nor the identities of the other victims have not yet been released.

Traffic investigators have not said if they know how one of the cars was traveling in the opposite direction.

No charges have yet been filed.
