JEFFERSON, Ohio - Workers at a manufacturing plant in Ashtabula County got some bad news before the holidays.

Toledo Moulding and Die has announced it is closing its factory in Jefferson.

A notice sent to the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services under the Worker Adjustment Retraining Notification (WARN) Act says 89 employees at the Jefferson Eagleville Road facility are expected to permanently lose their jobs.

The company has eight other locations in the U.S. and Mexico.

The workers are not members of a union and have no bumping rights at any other Toledo Moulding and Die facilities.

The layoffs are expected to take place between February and April.
