WARREN, Ohio - A Warren woman is charged with child endangering after police say her three-year-old son spent a half-hour on the phone with dispatchers after he couldn’t wake up his mom.

Officers were sent to a home on Parkman Road just after 5 a.m. Tuesday after the boy called 9-1-1.

Once inside, police say they found the child holding a cell phone at the foot of a bed. The boy’s foot was bleeding and officers say they found blood on the mattress and the hallway.

A relative who was with police shook the mom, 28-year-old Morgan Bailey, who sat up, looked at the officer, and went back to sleep, according to a police report.

Once police roused Bailey, she told them she didn’t know her son had called 9-1-1.

The child’s father, who arrived while officers were at the home, told the police to leave and said he would treat his boy’s wounded foot on his own.

Morgan Bailey was booked into the county jail on a charge of child endangering to await a hearing in Warren Municipal Court.
