Union nurses at East Liverpool Hospital continue to work without a contract agreement.

Ohio Nurses Association members at East Liverpool City Hospital/Prime Healthcare presented the hospital with a new offer on Tuesday. The union says the hospital failed to even address it. The bargaining session is the first meeting between the two parties since their last session on Nov. 17.

The union that represents 120 nurses at the hospital claims they cannot reach an agreement with the hospital over wages and other concerns. The nurses' contract expired on Nov. 21, which was the second contract extension -- with previous expiration dates in June and mid-October.

Nurses claim surrounding hospitals pay around $5 more an hour to start. They've also raised concerns about understaffing.

Near the end of November, the nurses went on a three-day strike.

There has been no word yet on another negotiating session.
