Red Cross moving Valley HQ from Liberty to Austintown

AUSTINTOWN TWP., Ohio - The American Red Cross has announced that it is moving its local office from Liberty to Austintown.
A media release from the Red Cross says that its Mahoning Valley headquarters will be relocated from Belmont Avenue to 25 N. Canfield Niles Road, Suite #140 in Austintown.
The organization says it regularly evaluates operations to determine how best to use our resources to respond to the humanitarian needs of the community, according to the release.
This Red Cross says the move will not change the area it serves, nor will it affect local services, or its ability to respond to needs.
“We are looking forward to moving to our new office space in Austintown in January,” said Rachel Telegdy, executive director of the American Red Cross of Greater Akron and the Mahoning Valley. “It’s centrally located, convenient for our volunteers, and will accommodate all of our needs.”
A virtual open house is planned to introduce the community to the new Mahoning Valley office location in Austintown shortly after the move in January.
Red Cross services include responding to disasters like home fires and flooding, collecting lifesaving blood and plasma, teaching lifesaving skills like first aid and CPR/AED, and providing service to members of the military, veterans, and their families.
