On-Demand Occupational Medicine is receiving the new, FDA-approved CareStart COVID-19 Antigen test.

According to the On-Demand news release, this is a rapid test that can show results within minutes with 88.4% accuracy and 100% specificity. 

The test is recommended to be used within five days of symptoms showing up and the test is conducted nasally.

On-Demand is open from 8 a.m to 7 p.m Monday through Friday and 8 a.m to noon on Saturdays.

"We are lucky to receive this new test so quickly and are eager to provide a sense of ease and comfort to our patients experiencing any symptoms," says Ruth Bowdish, managing director at On Demand Occupational Medicine.

"After our Abbott Id Now tests sold out so quickly, we knew we needed to do everything we could to get thousands of efficient rapid test in our facility," she said.

On-Demand also offers send-out tests with results coming back usually within 48 to 72 hours. 

The tests range from $30-$80, depending on insurance and bundling options.

All COVID test patients are accepted by walk-in only and no appointment is required.
