Muscarella's giving all carry-out tips to servers

SHARPSVILLE, Pa - For many waitresses at Muscarella's in Sharpsville, serving is their full time job.
As Pennsylvania continues to ban indoor dining, servers across the state are without work this upcoming holiday into the new year.
"I worry about what I owe in bills, what I have to do yet for Christmas and who can I take care of," said Alaina Tate, Muscarella's waitress. "You just start to really wrack your brain."
With Muscarella's current sales based solely on carryout, they knew they couldn't leave their waitresses behind.
"We decided all tips that we get, we'll donate to our 14 servers," said Jessica Koss, Muscarella's manager.
Tips that have been so generous, that waitresses say they've been able to survive on during yet another shutdown by Pennsylvania's administration. They say depending on the week, they are able to take home hundreds in tips.
"It was enough to cover at least two bills for me," Tate said. "The last shutdown Muscarella's took great care of us. They provided us with food and anything we ever needed the whole time but this was a step above and beyond anything we could have ever imagined they could do."
"I am completely blown away by the support," Koss said. "Once people found out that we were doing this, people are really coming through for our servers."
Visit Mercer County was offering financial help to people in the service industry and were able to give each server at Muscarella's a $300 check to help them out even more.
