Cortland PD confront the Grinch after attempt to steal Christmas

CORTLAND, Ohio - Cortland police were protecting the holiday spirit on Christmas Eve.
Police received a call about someone trying to steal Christmas and found none other than the Grinch in town.
Officers were able to locate Mr. Grinch and took him into custody.
The Grinch told officers that he did not like Christmas and did not want the people of Cortland to enjoy the holiday.
Later on, the Grinch apologized to officers and seemed to change his mind about stealing Christmas. The Cortland Fire Department was then called in to evaluate him.
During evaluation, the Grinch's heart seemed to grow three sizes.
The Grinch again apologized and promised not to steal Christmas again.
Police say the Grinch went on to celebrate Christmas in Cortland.
