Man arrested in Beaver Twp. after allegedly flashing gun at party

Beaver Township Police arrested a man last Wednesday after he allegedly flashed a handgun at a party and officers later found two more loaded guns in his vehicle.
JOSHUA MATTHEW CARPENTER, 33, was arrested on charges of improper handling of firearms in motor vehicle, improper handling of firearms in motor vehicle while under the influence, obstructing official business and OVI refusal.
According to police, Carpenter was arguing with a female member of a party he was at in the Avion on the Water banquet hall.
Police say, he became irate at her and pulled up his shirt to show her a handgun, which was observed by the manager, who called police.
The manager told Carpenter to leave the building and officers arrived on the scene.
According to a police report, Carpenter returned in his vehicle and was arrested and two loaded pistols were found in his vehicle.
Carpenter is currently being held in the Mahoning County Jail.
