CHIPPEWA TWP., WAYNE CO., Ohio - State troopers are investigating a four-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a Youngstown woman west of Akron.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says 34-year-old Karlene Rantamaki died Tuesday afternoon along State Route 585 in Chippewa Township, Wayne County.
The patrol says Rantamaki’s Chevy Malibu went left of center, sideswiped two oncoming cars, and was struck by an SUV.
Rantamaki was pronounced dead at the scene. An Akron couple in the SUV and their son were taken to Akron hospitals for treatment of injuries.
Troopers say they don’t believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
