One dead in shootings on Youngstown's West Side, South Side

YOUNGSTOWN - Detectives are investigating two early morning shootings in Youngstown. One of those shootings was deadly.
Just after midnight New Year’s Day, patrol officers were sent to the area of Glenwood and Almyra Avenues to investigate a report of gunfire.
Police found the body of a man in his 30’s lying near the road. No arrests have been made.
Later in the morning, officers were called to a usually quiet West Side neighborhood on Eldora Drive where they found a wounded man who was being taken to the hospital by a friend.
Detectives say the man was shot at a party being held at a home on nearby Chestnut Hill Drive. The friend was attempting to take the victim to the hospital but got lost along Eldora Drive.
An ambulance took the victim to the hospital. He's listed in stable condition.
