MERCER, Pa. - An arraignment is scheduled next month for a 51-year-old Mercer man accused of raping a 15-year-old girl with mental disabilities.
Albert Shollenberger faces trial on ten charges including rape and sexual assault of a mentally disabled person.
State police say the alleged assaults took place in Coolspring Township between March and July of last year.
Investigators learned of the alleged sex crimes through a referral from Pennsylvania’s ChildLine, a statewide child protective services program designed to accept child abuse referrals and general child well-being concerns and transmit the information quickly to the appropriate investigating agency.
Shollenberger remains held in the Mercer County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
