PITTSBURGH, Pa - FBI Pittsburgh says they are aware of a report from over the weekend that there may be protests in the area leading up to Joe Biden's inauguration on January 20.

According to the release, FBI Pittsburgh interviewed both the report's source and the person cited in the report.

FBI Pittsburgh says they are not aware of any related threats in the Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia areas.

The release says the organization and its law enforcement partners have deployed their full investigative resources and are working to bring those responsible to justice for the destruction and violence at the U.S. Capitol.

FBI Pittsburgh has a command post staffed to take leads and investigate into the Capitol's January 6 events.
