BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio - Retailer Meijer has announced that is looking for 300 employees for its new store in Boardman.

The store, which is near the intersection of Boardman-Canfield Rd. and Lockwood Blvd., will be hiring clerks, cake decorators, customer service employees, cashiers, receiving and meat cutters.

Starting pay is based on experience level and specific skills, according to a news release.

Meijer says employees receive weekly pay, discounts, paid parental leave, educational reimbursement, and flexible scheduling.

The release says workers also have career advancement opportunities, access to health insurance options, and the option for 401k retirement planning.

Potential candidates should begin the hiring process by applying online at https://jobs.meijer.com/stores.

Meijer executives will screen applicants within the next few weeks. Selected candidates will be contacted to schedule virtual video interviews.

Meijer is a Grand Rapids, Mich.-based retailer that operates 256 supercenters and grocery stores throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky.

A specific opening date for the store has not been announced.
