The Mahoning Valley's electric vehicle manufacturer is touting its program not just in Ohio, but across the country.

Lordstown Motors, which is headquartered in Lordstown, has opened a new service center in Irvine, California.

The company went to Twitter to make the announcement Monday, showing off its Endurance Pickup Truck it is manufacturing in the Valley.

The center is the company's first service center outside of Ohio.

The facility, combined with the company’s mobile service, will enable Lordstown Motors to service commercial users in the southern California region.

"The company has chosen California as the location for its first service center outside of Ohio due to the favorable regulatory backdrop in the state, which is aggressively promoting more widespread adoption of electric vehicles," according to an earlier press release.

The Endurance has already received more than 100,000 orders from commercial fleets for the truck.

Executives say the company is on track for the start of production in September of this year.
