Valley accounts for 4.33 percent of nearly 900,000 COVID-19 cases in Ohio

The Ohio Department of Health is reporting 3,287 additional cases of COVID-19 within the state for Monday, Feb. 1, which is 2,147 cases less than the 21-day average of 5,434. There have been 899,079 confirmed and probable cases in the state since the beginning of the pandemic.
The state also reported 55 virus-related deaths in the last 24-hours, which is 18 below the 21-day average of 73. There have been 11,230 virus-related deaths in the state.
Hospitalizations from the virus hit 46,438 cases Monday, with 223 hospitalizations in the last 24 hours, which is 18 cases below the 21-day average. ICU admissions in the state are at 6,709 cases, with 19 since Sunday, and 6 below the 21-day average.
Mahoning County is reporting 18,058 total COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the pandemic, with 858 hospitalizations and 339 deaths.
Trumbull County has 13,273 cases, with 946 hospitalizations and 326 deaths from the virus.
Columbiana County is reporting 7,618 cases total, with 445 hospitalizations and 125 virus-related deaths.
The total confirmed or probable cases in the Valley is 38,949 cases or 4.33 percent of the total cases within the state.
