LISBON, Ohio - Columbiana County health officials have added dozens of underreported deaths to the county's number of deaths this week.

Over the weekend, the county's COVID-19 related death totals were affected by the underreporting issue originally announced by the Ohio Department of Health last week

County officials said they have not been given any further information from the state on this matter.

The chart below shows a list of 42 deaths ranging from November to December 2020 that had yet to be reported.

These deaths bring the total number in the county to 178.

Of those deaths, 87 were residents of long-term care facilities, 82 were members of the general community and nine were inmates at the federal prison.
