BENTONVILLE, Ark. - Paychecks for 425,000 Walmart employees around the country will have something extra beginning a month from now.
John Furner, President, and CEO, Walmart U.S. announced on Thursday that on March 13, the giant retailer will be raising pay for employees digital and stocking workgroups.
Starting rates will increase to $13 – $19 per hour, based on the store’s location and market.
Walmart reported an 8.6 percent U.S. sales increase for the year and a historic fourth quarter with just under $100 billion in sales.
Furner says Walmart picked six billion items for Pickup and Delivery, and its U.S. business grew by $29 billion.
