WARREN, Ohio -  The saying “If you see something, say something”, may have led to the arrest of two burglary suspects in Warren.

Responding to a call from someone reporting that a back door had been kicked in at a home on the 900 block of Maryland Street NW just after 5 a.m. Thursday, officers say a man walked out of the front door.

That man, identified as 32-year-old Neal Green of Warren, was placed in handcuffs along with 28-year-old Alan Bosak of Youngstown, who had also been in the house.

Green, who told police that he was a neighbor who had been checking on the house for a friend, had three gold-colored rings in his pocket, according to the police report.

Police say they also found televisions sitting on a stair landing and on the back porch.

Officers who went upstairs to check on some barking dogs found an open jewelry box. Police say it appears that the alleged intruders had tried to feed bologna to the dogs.

The suspects may not have only been trying to feed “bologna” to the dogs. When police checked their story that they were in the home for “a friend”, the homeowner told police that the men were not supposed to be inside the home.

Bosak and Green each face burglary charges.
