SHARON, Pa. - Nearly one month after being on the run, the suspect in a Sharon shooting has been arrested by police.

Travaris Dorsey, 29, was apprehended with the help of the U.S. Marshals Service February 26 in North Carolina.

He was wanted in connection with a shooting on the 700 block of Stambaugh Avenue back on January 27.

The shooting occurred right across from Saints Peter and Paul Church.

According to a criminal complaint, a woman was shot at least three times in the upper torso.

She told police Dorsey shot her in the bathroom of the residence after he told her to "shut up" or else he would shoot.

He then demanded the keys to her car.

Police said Dorsey then stole the vehicle.

The victim was taken by ambulance to an area trauma center where she was listed in stable condition.

Police said Dorsey and the victim were believed to have been in a relationship.

He is awaiting extradition back to Mercer County.
