A teen dirt bike rider has died after colliding with a car in Warren Township on Tuesday.

It happened just before 12 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Caleb and Burwell Roads NW.

Troopers on the scene said there were two dirt bikes involved, one being ridden by 19-year-old Roger Humphrey III of Leavittsburg, and another by a 16-year-old.

The driver of a Chevy Malibu, identified by troopers as 18-year-old Arthur Tilton, was stopped at a stop sign going southbound on Burwell while the dirt bikes were eastbound on Caleb.

Troopers said Tilton started southbound into the path of Humphrey and the 16-year-old.

Troopers said both bikes then struck the vehicle.

The teenager was thrown from the bike and Life Flighted to St. Elizabeth's in Youngstown with life-threatening injuries, according to troopers.

Tilton and Humphrey were not injured.

The crash is under investigation, but drugs or alcohol are not suspected to be a factor in the accident.

The trooper said dirt bikes are not allowed to be ridden on township roads.

The Mahoning county coroner's office has identified the teenager as Mark Craig.

The crash remains under investigation.
