Youngstown man charged with Boardman Family Dollar robbery

BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio - A Youngstown man is charged with robbing a Family Dollar Store in Boardman.
Township Police say 45-year-old Justin Woody turned himself in at the police department on Tuesday after learning that a warrant had been issued for his arrest.
Police believe Woody is the person who, on February 25, handed a note to a cashier at the Family Dollar on Market Street at Hillman.
According to the police report, the note read “give up the money or you will be shot”. The note had the image of an American flag printed at the bottom.
The cashier didn’t see a gun but told police the robber kept his right hand in his pocket, implicating that he had a weapon.
The suspect left the store with $268.
Investigators say they tracked the suspect to an address on Youngstown’s South Side and identified Woody through surveillance video.
During an arraignment, the bond for Woody was set at $20,000. Another court hearing is scheduled for March 16.
