Austintown man to pay thousands in workers' compensation fraud case
Officials say Frederick Romito Jr. was working as a home re-modeler while collecting disability benefits.

YOUNGSTOWN - An Austintown man will have to shell out thousands of dollars in a workers' compensation fraud case.
Frederick Romito Jr. pleaded guilty Feb. 22 in Franklin County to one count of workers' compensation fraud after officials with the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation found him working as a home re-modeler while collecting disability benefits.
Romito was sentenced to five years of community control with an 11-month suspended prison sentence, according to the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation.
He was also ordered to pay $17,467 in restitution to the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation.
