WARREN, Ohio -  A former employee of the City of Warren convicted of stealing money from the city won’t spend time in jail.

Forty-five-year-old Kisha Jackson, former City Events Coordinator and administrative assistant, was sentenced Monday after pleading guilty earlier to theft in office.

In addition to being placed on probation for five years and ordered to undergo random drug and alcohol testing, Jackson was ordered to make restitution.

A previous letter signed by the city's safety service director, Eddie Colbert, alleged Jackson stole $2,830 from the Christmas on the Square event funds.

Jackson was fired by the City of Warren last March.
