A runaway driver that caused a deadly crash in Summit County after a high-speed chase Tuesday morning has been charged.

Michael Simbo, 24, of Clifton Heights, Pennsylvania, was identified as the driver behind the wheel of the BMW 528 involved in the pursuit.

He was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, vehicular assault and failure to comply/fleeing, which are all felony offenses, as well as misdemeanor traffic offenses.

Around 8:30 a.m., troopers said they saw Simbo going 94 miles per hour on I-80 westbound in Trumbull County near Lordstown.

They said Simbo then fled westbound going speeds that exceeded 100 mph.

Simbo then exited on State Route 8 in Summit County and continued southbound until turning on Boston Mills Road.

That's when troopers decided to terminate the pursuit because of his speed and the dangerous curve of the roadway.

Troopers said they shortly found the vehicle had crashed through a guardrail and overturned down an embankment.

The right-front passenger was identified as 18-year-old Starr Adams of Chester, Pennsylvania.

She was taken to the hospital where she is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The two passengers in the back of the vehicle, 22-year-old Ramon Smith of Flint, Michigan and 16-year-old Ari'onna Taylor of Chester, Pennsylvania, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident is under investigation, but troopers said the vehicle was also wanted in connection to a shooting that happened in Pennsylvania.
