HUBBARD, Ohio - Even though a fire damaged St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hubbard, the parish is planning to celebrate Holy Week as normal.

The church will continue to use their parish center for mass except for Easter Sunday when it will be held at Hubbard High School Auditorium.

Below is a list of Holy Week services at St. Patrick's Church:

  • March 27: PALM SUNDAY Vigil Mass, 4:00 pm
  • March 28: PALM SUNDAY Mass, 8:30 and 11:00 am
  • April 1: HOLY THURSDAY 6:30 pm: Mass of the Lord's Supper
    The church will remain open for prayer until midnight.
  • April 2: GOOD FRIDAY
    3:00 pm: Stations of the Cross & Burial Procession
    6:30 pm: Good Friday Service; Passion of the Lord, Veneration of the Holy Cross and Holy Communion
  • April 3: HOLY SATURDAY
    1:00 pm: Blessing of Easter Foods
    8:00 pm: The Great Easter Vigil
  • April 4: EASTER SUNDAY: THE RESURRECTION OF THE LORD
    8:30 and 11:00 am: Easter Sunday Mass at Hubbard High School Auditorium

St. Patrick's Church was heavily damaged during a fire in January. The fire started in the basement in a storage area and spread leaving a couple million dollars in damage.

The chapel area was damaged in the fire but the tabernacle was able to be saved.
