Brightside Project hosts Easter event

SALEM, Ohio - The snowy weather isn't stopping an Easter tradition from taking place in Salem.
The Brightside Project hosted its annual Bright Easter event in combination with its monthly Food for Kids program.
The event started at 4 p.m. and runs until 8 p.m Thursday nigt.
Children can receive a free Easter basket filled with toys, snacks, and candy.
They can also get non-perishable food and personal care items to take home.
"We are combining two of our awesome events in one night to have maximum impact in the lives of children this year. The pandemic has really affected our local kids so by combining our monthly Food for Kids program with our Bright Easter event we want to give them hope and build resiliency to equip and empower them to reach their full potential," says Co-Director Lisa Wallace.
