Woman charged in Easter shooting death indicted in murder case
A woman accused of killing a man last Easter on Youngstown's Southside was indicted on murder charges on Thursday.
Jillian Russell, 37, was indicted on murder charges by a Mahoning County grand jury.
The Mahoning County Coroner has released the name of the man who Youngstown Police say was the victim of a homicide on Easter Sunday.
Russell is accused of shooting 38-year-old Marcus Turnage to death at a Lakeview Avenue home last Easter after the two argued about the existence of God.
Russell was previously ordered to undergo treatment by Judge Renee DiSalvo after a mental health evaluation found she was not capable of standing trial, which Russel has completed and can now stand trial.
Russell has been held in the Mahoning County Jail on a $1 million bond since returning from mental health treatment.
