Bars and restaurants in Pennsylvania prepare to welcome larger crowds into their establishments come Sunday. But more customers call for more hands on deck.

"With the capacity increases we are looking to hire a couple new hostesses and a couple new servers, said Jamie Raykie, Manager at Muscarella's Cafe Italia. "We were able to bring most of our staff back when we went to 50 percent but now that we're at 75 percent, we are looking to increase by a couple employees," she said.

Effective April 4th, restaurants can resume bar service, alcohol service will be allowed without the purchase of food and they'll be no curfew for removing alcoholic drinks from tables.

The light at the end of the tunnel is shining bright with some restaurant restrictions being lifted.

Raykie says this opportunity would be giving them the opportunity to get the bulk of their revenue back.

"A lot of our revenue does come from the indoor dining but we have a huge part of it that was in the bar. So not being able to have any bar service the last few months was a huge hit," said Raykie.

Donna's Diner, who just celebrated their tenth anniversary last month, has to have customers wait outside to eat.

"In the past five minutes alone, I've turned three tables away because we have socially distanced tables available but I'm at my 50 percent maximum capacity," said Laura Ackley, General Manager at Donna's Diner. "It's been really, really frustrating especially during the busy lunch times and on weekends, so the 75 percent is going to really be helpful for us," she said.

Restaurant owners say they're feeling encouraged now that things are looking up and are looking forward to opening their doors for more customers.
