Youngstown Mayoral Debate taking place on 21 WFMJ April 12th

Youngstown residents will get their first look at some of the candidates vying to lead the city when the Democratic candidates for Mayor face off in a debate hosted by 21 News one week from today.
The debate will take place April 12 at Stambaugh Auditorium and will feature all of the Democrats vying for the office, incumbent Tito Brown, councilman Julius Oliver and newcomer Ryan Kelly.
The candidates will answer questions on the topics that matter most to the city's well-being, from crime and police reform to job creation and how to help the city survive and thrive into the future. "Police relations with the minority communities and transparency in how the $88 million in America Rescue Plan money will be spent are top of mind for voters" said 21 News Director Mona Alexander. "Comparing the candidates on these and other key issues is crucial to the accountability voters are looking for" Alexander added.
The debate will be moderated by 21 News Weekend Today anchor Lindsay McCoy and will feature questions from panelists 21 News anchor Derek Steyer and Buckeye Review publisher Dr. Mike McNair.
You can watch the debate live on 21 WFMJ, as well as streaming on the 21 News app and the 21 News Facebook page beginning at 7 p.m.
