HOWLAND TWP., Ohio -  The Red Cross was called out to help three people left homeless when a fire damaged a house in Howland Tuesday night.

Initial reports from Trumbull County Dispatch said that a person who lives at the home on the 2000 block of Athens Drive SE came home to find the whole front of the house up in flames at 10 p.m.

However, it took longer for crews to contain the fire because there were live wires across the road and they had to call Ohio Edison to come and help.

Reports indicate that no one appeared to be injured.  Firefighters rescued a cat from the home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Red Cross was called to provide assistance to the three adult males who lived at the home.
