GROVE CITY, Pa. - Authorities accuse a 66-year-old Grove City man of stealing trees from a city park and replanting them in his yard.
According to police, Danny Como dug up 26 pine trees from Grove City Memorial Park on West Main Street on April 8, then took them to his Lake Drive home a mile-and-a-half away and planted them on his property.
Police say Como took the trees without the permission of Borough officials. He’s been charged with theft and has a court hearing scheduled before a district magistrate on May 12.
