Welding to blame for fire at Salem American Standard plant
The flames were contained in the area, but other areas of the building sustained water damage.

SALEM, Ohio - A fire broke out at a Salem business Monday morning.
The fire started at the American Standard Company plant on S. Ellsworth Avenue around 9:30 a.m.
Fire crews arrived on the scene while employees were making their way out of the building,
The blaze started on the third floor as maintenance crews were welding there.
The flames were contained in the area, but other areas of the building sustained water damage.
No one was injured.
