Sheely's Furniture donates more than $11,000 to ALS organization
NORTH LIMA, Ohio - Sheely's Furniture and Appliance is doing their part to fight the battle against ALS.
The company celebrated its largest quarterly charitable event to date with $11,463 going to the ALS Association Northern Ohio Chapter (ALSA).
ALSA was presented with the nearly $11,500 check on April 16 at Sheely's North Lima location.
The fundraising efforts took place at Sheely's locations in North Lima and Aurora. Customers participation was encouraged by offering $100 off qualifying purchases when a donation was made.
Sheely's matched every dollar donated by customers.
"At Sheely's, we pride ourselves on our 70 year history of giving back to our community. Our quarterly campaigns are a meaningful part of this effort, and we appreciate everyone that donated," said owner Jessica Smith. "We were excited to work with ALSA for our quarterly fundraising efforts. Partnering with our customers and employees to assist ALSA in their goal to create a world without ALS was an honor."
