BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio - A man who admitted to police that he recorded video up the skirts of women at major department stores in Boardman has been released because none of the women complained.

According to a police report, security at Walmart detained the suspect after catching him using a cell phone to take video up the dress of a customer on Sunday.

When police arrived, they say the man admitted taking videos of 20 to 25 women that day at Walmart, Sam’s Club, and Target stores in the township.

The man told police he knew what he was doing was wrong and apologized.

However, police say the woman who was the alleged victim refused to cooperate, “wanted no part of it”, and even refused to identify herself.

The suspect, who has been arrested for voyeurism before, was released because no one would file a  complaint against him.

Detectives asked Walmart security to provide surveillance video showing the man apparently recording video of other women in the store.
