Day two of the Horizon League Track and Field Championships continues Saturday on the campus of Youngstown State University. 

Both the YSU women's and men's team came into Saturday with the lead. 

As the day progressed, multiple penguins earned first place finishes in various events. 

Penguins senior and Girard graduate Collin Harden took first place in the 110 M Hurdles, with a time of 14.35. Harden also took the event title in the 400m hurdles, with a time of 53.35. It's the third time Harden has taken the 400m title. 

In the 100 meter dash, Youngstown State sophomore Christian Ford tied the Farmers National Bank Field facility record with a time of 10.60, earning first place. The facility record was set by former Penguin Chad Zallow in in 2019. Harden placed third in the event and first in his heat, with a time of 10.73. YSU's Tye Hunt rounded out the top 5 with a time of 10.80 in the 100 meter dash. 

On the women's side, Jahniya Bowers captured the event victory in the 100 meter dash, with a time of 11.78. The victory pushes the Penguins to 10 straight event titles. 

In the women's long jump, YSU's Jessica Stever earned the title event with a 5.77m mark. 

For the third time this season, Penguins sophomore Erin Bogard set a new YSU record in the pole vault, clearing 4.01. She set a new facility record in the process and earned the event title for the Penguins. 

 

In the women's shot put, YSU's Sammy Dyson earned the event title with a 14.24m throw. With the event win, YSU has claimed this event title for the 12th consecutive year. 

 On the men's side, Dominic Perry took home the shot put title with a throw of 16.77.
