NEW CASTLE, Pa. - Four people had to be rescued from floodwaters in New Castle Sunday after becoming stuck in water.

It happened in the Mahoningtown section of the city on Lafayette Street, which runs under an overhead train trestle bridge.

The driver tried to travel though the water and got stuck.

The people inside the vehicle then got out and escaped onto the roof.

They called 911 and the fire department as well as a relative with a heavy-duty pickup truck to help them get out.

No one was injured.
