CLEVELAND, Ohio -  Warren native Dave Grohl’s Foo Fighters is among the musicians that will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this fall.

The Cleveland-based Hall announced on Wednesday that the band will join Tina Turner, Carole King, The Go-Go’s, Jay-Z, and Todd Rundgren during a ceremony scheduled for October 30, 2021.

“Foo Fighters carry the torch of rock authenticity with infectious hooks, in-your-face guitar riffs, monster drums, and boundless energy,” according to a news release.

Grohl, the band’s frontman, has made return visits to the Valley and has been honored by his native town with the naming of “Grohl Alley” after the musician.

It will be Grohl's second induction into the Hall of Fame. He was inducted in 2014 as drummer for the band Nirvana.
