Two people arrested after chase from Lordstown to Route 82

LORDSTOWN, Ohio - Two people were arrested after a chase from Lordstown to Route 82 near North Elm Road near Warren.
Lordstown police said an officer was flagged down by someone who was yelling for help while following the vehicle involved in the chase.
Officers said both vehicles did stop for police, but then the suspect driver drove off from the traffic stop and led them to Route 82.
Police said it's unknown if the car was stolen, but said it was taken at some point.
The driver was taken into custody along with a passenger after the vehicle was safely stopped, according to police.
Several agencies including Trumbull County Sheriff's Office, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Bazetta and Howland Township police were all on scene as well.
Police are working to find out what exactly happened.
