Driver loses control, flips car into Shenango River

NESHANNOCK TWP., Lawrence Co. Pa. - A driver is lucky to be on their feet after losing control of their car, flipping it into the Shenango River Monday morning.
The accident happened shortly after 9 a.m. when emergency crews said the driver was near Millennium Park and King's Chapel Road Boat Launch in Neshannock Township when they allegedly lost control on the wet road, traveled about 30 feet through a weeded area and went over a ten foot bank, landing upside down in the river.
Since the accident happened near the bank, the river was only a few feet deep.
A passerby saw the accident and called first responders.
Authorities believe the driver was able to get out of the car himself after finding him sitting on the roadway when they arrived.
He was not seriously injured and was the only one in the vehicle at the time.
Neshannock Township police are investigating the crash.
