Coroner identifies motorcyclist killed after collision in front of Austintown Middle School

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - The Mahoning County Coroner has identified the man who died after his motorcycle collided with a car Sunday afternoon in Austintown.
It happened near the 911 Memorial and Austintown Middle School on South Raccoon Road around 1:30 p.m.
Witnesses told police that 30-year-old Scott Johnson was swerving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed just before the crash.
Johnson then collided with a Chevrolet Cruze as it was turning into the 911 Memorial.
According to police on scene, a woman and her two grandchildren were in the Cruze and were not injured.
Johnson was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown and later died.
Police believe he was not wearing a helmet.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine his cause of death.
The crash is under investigation.
There's no word on if charges will be filed.
