Citations for expired licenses, registration in Ohio to resume July 1
During the coronavirus pandemic, Governor Mike DeWine signed a law that extended expiration dates on those items.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Citations could begin for Ohioans that have not renewed their driver's license, IDs or vehicle registrations.
Beginning July 1, officers can begin to write tickets for expired ID tags.

The legislation is now set to expire next month.
It was originally slated to expire on April 1, 2021, but was extended.
