Mercer Co. to receive $212K to help those struggling with substance abuse

Mercer County, Pa. - Mercer County is set to receive more than $200,000 to help people struggling with substance abuse.
A $212,130 grant from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency will be used to support the Mercer County Behavioral Health Commission and the Mercer County Treatment Court.
According to the release, $122,130 will go to the Mercer County Behavioral Health Commission to implement the Say It Straight program and $90,000 will be used for the Treatment Court.
Say It Straight is designed to help those recovering from substance use disorder stay on the right path and help fix relationships with the person's family. It also helps the person reenter the job market.
The Treatment Court works to provide drug offenders treatment-based alternatives to jail time.
