Sharon Police investigate shots fired near elementary school

Sharon Police say they are still investigating after receiving reports of shots outside Musser Elementary school.
What appears to be a minute-long doorbell video circulating on social media shows people and cars outside of the school as several shots were fired and several people could be heard shouting as they ran.
Detective Captain Mark Hynes issued a news release on Thursday confirming that officers were dispatched to the school on Cedar Avenue to investigate the shots shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Hynes says that although police found that the shots were fired, no one was injured.
Sharon School District Superintendent Michael Calla told 21 News that he has only heard rumors about the shooting and had not been contacted by the Police Department.
Police are asking anyone with any information about the shooting to contact them at 724-983-3210 or through Mercer County 911 at 724-662-6110.
