Arson investigation underway after Youngstown house fire
People living at a home on Youngstown's west side were forced to find another place to live after someone tossed something through a window, causing a fire.
The fire broke out late Tuesday just before midnight on North Bon Air Avenue.
Youngstown arson investigator Kurt Wright said the blaze has definitely been ruled an arson. They don't have any solid leads on suspects so far.
No one was inside the home at the time of the fire. However, three dogs were outside and a puppy was found in the basement. The dogs all survived, but the home was heavily damaged.
Investigators were unable to find the object that was thrown due to the amount of damage, but they are still working on it. The fire engulfed the living room, causing a ceiling to collapse and an awning to cave in.
The family has found somewhere else to stay.
Wright says gunshots were fired at this same home over the weekend.
