Youngstown man federally indicted after alleged credit union robbery

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A Youngstown man has been federally indicted on a robbery charge after allegedly robbing an area credit union.
46-year-old Anthony Salata is accused of robbing the Struthers Federal Credit Union on May 21.
Police say Salata went into the credit union on Poland Avenue that morning and told a teller that he wanted to open an account.
Salata allegedly said it was a robbery and demanded money. According to the release, Salata told the teller "This is a stickup. Give me all the money, no dye packs. Remember, I know who you are and where you live."
After the teller handed over the money, the suspect ran away on foot across Poland Avenue.
The victim told officers that Salata had been in an agitated state and was sweating profusely, shaking, and moved sluggishly during the incident.
Salata was on parole at the time of his arrest for a grand theft conviction.
