New 'SkillsMatch' tool aims for better matches for Ohio job seekers

Ohioans now have a new tool to help with their job search.
The launch of the new 'SkillsMatch' resource on OhioMeansJobs.com was announced Tuesday.
'SkillsMatch' is designed to match applicants with businesses that are hiring and is supported by detailed data that extracts the job seeker's skills from their resumes and matches them with job-match recommendations based on their skills.
"The SkillsMatch tool reinforces our commitment to better connecting job seekers with in-demand positions," said Governor Mike DeWine. "As our economy continues to bounce back, I know that this new tool will help serve both Ohioans and Ohio employers."
Job seekers can directly upload their resumes to OhioMeansJobs.com and select the skills they'd like to be matched with potential job opportunities.
OhioMeansJobs.com currently has 189,681 jobs posted with 103,025 that pay more than $50,000 per year.
