Drivers planning to use a busy stretch of Youngstown's Fifth Avenue will have to find another route this week.

YOUNGSTOWN - Drivers planning to use a busy stretch of Youngstown's Fifth Avenue will have to find another route this week.

Deputy Public Works Director Charles Sasho has announced that Fifth Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Federal Street and the Madison Avenue Expressway beginning Monday, June 28, 2021.

Work on a safety upgrade is expected to take five days.

Detour signs will be posted, according to Sasho.
